This is the traditional way of making dipping sauce or “nước chấm” which appears in both lunch and dinner tables. The sauce is served with many Vietnamese dishes.

Ingredients:
  • 3 slice Ginger
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves, minced
  • 5 g Green chili, minced, no seeds (5g / 0.17oz)
  • 5 g Red chili, minced, no seeds (5g / 0.17oz)
  • 4 tsp Sugar
  • 3 count Fresh limes
  • 2 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil to taste

Dry mixture: Pound garlic, ginger, and chili until combined

Wet mixture: Mix freshly squeezed lime juice with sugar

Combining 2 mixtures: Pour the wet mixture in the dry mixture and stir up

Adding fish sauce: Add the fish sauce into the mixture and stir up

Adding olive oil: Smoothen the dipping sauce with some olive oil
