Ingredients:

ㅤ Cake Donuts Dough
ㅤ [Wet Ingredients]
1 large Egg Yolk
1 large Egg
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
2 tbsp. Melted Butter
3/4 cup Sour Cream
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
ㅤ Dry Ingredients
1¾ cup Cake Flour
1¾ tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 small Nutmeg
ㅤ For Rolling the Dough
2 tbsp. Cake Flour
ㅤ Doughnut Glaze
4 tbsp. Milk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 cup Powdered Sugar
ㅤ For Fry Donuts Donate
1 Qt Vegetable Oil

Directions:

Step 1

Using the paddle attachment on a stand mixer, whip eggs and sugar to a heavy ribbon. This should take about 5 minutes at a high speed.

Step 2

With the machine running on low, slowly stream melted butter into batter.

Step 3

Add sour cream all at once. Mix on medium-high 30 seconds to a minute until uniform.

Step 4

Whisk dry ingredients together. Then add to batter. Mix just to combine.

Step 5

Chill dough at least 20 minutes, then roll on a floured surface (I like to use parchment underneath) to ½” thickness.

Step 6

Put milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Sift 1 cup powdered sugar into liquid, whisking together. Add more powdered sugar, ¼ cup at a time, to desired consistency.
