Tomato and Ham Rice | Recipe You Can Make in a Rice Cooker

Ingredients:
- 2 cup Round Grain Rice
- 2 cup Long Grain Rice
- 4 cup Water
- 1 large Tomato
- Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1/3 cup Ham, Dice
- 1/3 cup Corn Kernels
- 1/3 cup Green Beans, Diced
- 1/3 cup Shiitake Mushrooms, Diced
- 1/4 cup Carrot, Diced
- 1 tbsp. Cooking Oil
- 1/3 cup Celery, Diced
- For the sauce-
- 1 tbsp. Garlic, Minced
- 1 tbsp. Shallot, Thinly Sliced
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp. Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp. White Vinegar, to taste
- 1 tsp. Red Chili Slices, to taste
- 1 tsp. Chopped Green Onion, to taste
Directions:
Step 1

Cut the ham meat, carrots, mushrooms, and celery into small pieces.

Remove the corn kernels from the cob.

In the rice cooker, add in both kinds of rice, mix evenly, then add water. Then add the following ingredients on top of the rice: one tomato in the center, then diced ham, green beans, mushrooms, carrot, celery, and corn on the side. Close the lid and press start to cook.

Prepare the sauce (to be mixed with the cooked rice). In a pan with cooking oil over high heat, stir fry the minced garlic and thinly sliced shallots until fragrant.

In the same pan, add water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, a pinch of sugar, white vinegar to taste, chopped green onion to taste, and the red chili slices. Stir for a little while until the sauce thickened. Remove from the heat.

After the rice cooker is done, pour the sauce into the rice, then mix well to serve.
