Ingredients:
  • 2 lb. Pork Ribs
  • Marinade
  • 0.25 tsp. Salt
  • 0.5 tsp. White Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Shaoxing Wine
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 count Egg
  • 0.25 cup Corn Starch
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • 0.25 cup Diced Onion
  • 1 cup Diced Tomato
  • 2 stalks Green Onion (Cut To About Finger Length)
  • 1 tbsp. Shaoxing Wine
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Haw Flakes
  • 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 0.25 cup White Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch Water (1 Tbsp Cornstarch Mixed With 1 Tbsp Water)
  • 1 tsp. Sesame oil
  • Seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp. Salt

Cut the pork ribs between each bone and then cut them in half. Put in a bowl for marinating.

Put salt and white pepper into the bowl. Add Shaoxing wine, egg, corn starch and cooking oil into the bowl.

Mix well with hand. Marinate for 2 hours.

Make sure the wok/pot is nice and hot, and covered with enough oil to deep fry the ribs. Take them out when they turn golden brown. Let it rest on the side for a minute or so.

Put it back into the pan for several minutes and refry them to remove excess oil from the ribs. Let the ribs rest on the side and pour all the cooking oil out of the wok.

Make sure wok is nice and hot. Pour a good amount of cooking oil into the wok for stir fry. Once the wok is ready, put the diced-up tomatoes and onions into the wok. Stir fry a little and then add green onions and Shaoxing wine into wok.

Add water, ketchup, sugar, Haw flakes, and salt into the wok. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Take a strainer and filter all the ingredients out of the wok. Leave the sauce in the wok.

Pour white vinegar, soy sauce, and the water and cornstarch into the wok. This will help thicken the sauce a bit.

Put the ribs back into the wok and stir gently. Make sure that the ribs are covered with the sauce. Next, pour a couple of tsp of sesame oil into the wok

Plate the ribs and sprinkle some sesame seeds onto the ribs. Enjoy!
