Caramelized apple layer cake with an orange marmalade glaze and fresh fruits topping is fresh and delicious.

Ingredients:
  • 7 count Eggs, separate egg whites from yolks
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp. Cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 oz. Water
  • 2.5 oz. Vegetable oil
  • 4 count Fuji apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1.5 oz. Gutter, melted
  • 1.5 oz. Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Orange marmalade

Preheat oven to 350°F(180°C).

Place apple slices in baking pan, brush with butter and sprinkle sugar, then bake for 20 minutes. Set aside.Beat egg white, sugar and cream of tartar at high speed till firm peak formed.

In a large mixing bowl, blend egg yolks, water and oil, then add flour, baking powder and salt, mix thoroughly. Fold in about ⅓ of whipped cream and mix well.

Fold egg yolk mixture to the rest of whipped cream. Make sure the batter is well-blended.

Pour batter into a round cake mold, bake at 350°F(180°C) for 45-50 minutes, cool at room temperature.

Evenly slice cake into three parts horizontally.

Spread on one layer cream, top with one layer roasted apple slices. Repeat with another cake layer

Frost whole cake with cream, then glaze it with orange marmalade.
