This Fried Pork Nuggets with Stuffed Asian Pear is easy to make and serves as great party food. Asian pear is a crisp, richly aromatic firm-fleshed fruit.

Ingredients:
  • 3 oz. Pork Tenderloin
  • 1 piece Caul Fat Net
  • 2 oz. Pear
  • 2 oz. Green Onion, Julienned
  • 1 tbsp. Five Spice Powder
  • 0.5 tsp. Salt
  • 0.5 tsp. Sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Shaoxing Wine
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1 tbsp. Corn Starch

Cut tenderloin into very thin strips.

Peel pear and cut into about same size strip as meat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine tenderloin, pear, green onion, sugar, salt, five spice powder, egg, and mix well.

On cutting board, lay caul fat net flat on the board.

Add mixture close to one edge of caul fat net, and spread mixture to form a long strip. Wrap and roll to form a cylinder, like a sausage.

Cut into 1 inch and a half pieces.

Coat pieces with corn starch. Rest for a few minutes.

Deep fry at low temperature once, then re-fry at high temperature until golden brown.
