This recipe will show you how to make quick and easy falafel sandwiches. These sandwiches are light and refreshing, perfect for a picnic on a hot day.

Ingredients:
  • ㅤFalafel
  • 1/4 cup Dry Chickpeas (Soak in water for 24 hours. )
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 cup Parsley
  • 2 tbsp. Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tbsp. Cumin Seeds
  • tbsp. Zaatar
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • ㅤSandwich
  • 2 large Pita Bread
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 medium Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 1/4 cup Zhoug Sriracha
  • 1/4 cup Tahini Sauce

Add all 【Falafel】(except for baking powder) ingredients to food processor and pulse a little bit at a time until the mixture is finely ground. You’ll know it’s ready when the texture is more like coarse meal.

Dust with a tablespoon of baking powder.

Pour into a large mixing bowl and keep mixing using a potato masher.

Make balls, about 1oz in size. Let rest in refrigerator until cold.

Pan fry Falafel in oil until dark in color, and warm on the inside- about 5 minutes on each side.

Assemble with 【Sandwich】ingredients.
