Crab Rangoon is a crisp, fried wonton that is loaded with cream cheese and crab goodness, and it’s an absolute party favorite!

Ingredients:
  • 5 oz. Cooked crab meat
  • 8 piece Wonton wrappers
  • 1 oz. Celery, minced
  • 1 oz. Carrot, minced
  • 1 oz. Green onion, minced
  • 1 oz. Onion, minced
  • 0.5 oz. Cilantro, minced
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese
  • 2 tsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. Sesame oil
  • 0.25 tsp. Ground white pepper, a pinch

Mince 5oz / 140g crab leg meat, then mince 1oz / 30g celery, 1oz / 30g carrot, 1oz / 30g green onion, 1oz / 30g onion, ½ oz / 15g cilantro.

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab leg meat, then mince celery, carrot, green onion, onion, and cilantro. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, a pinch of ground white pepper, and cream cheese, then mix well.

Place wonton wrappers on a flat surface, brush a thin layer of water on all sides, put a small amount of the crab a mixture in the middle. ( amount of the crab mixture depends on the size of wonton wrapper)

Fold the four corners together, then seal the edges.

In a cooking pan over high heat, bring enough cooking oil to 250°F/120°C, fry the crab rangoon until golden.
