This keto coffee is creamy and robust making it the perfect mid day pick me up. According to research, MCTs (one of the main ingredients of bulletproof coffee) are metabolized quickly. This makes them an effective weight loss tool. Additionally, grass-fed butter has high levels of omega-3s, whose anti-inflammatory properties can improve energy levels, brain function, and gut health.

Ingredients:
  • 12 oz. Brewed Coffee
  • 2 tbsp. ghee
  • 1 tbsp. MCT Oil
  • 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon powder (can use more as per your liking)
  • A pinch of Pink Himalayan ground salt

Grind all the coffee with an electric or manual coffee grinder. In alternative can buy coffee that has been pre ground. Brew your coffee in your preferred way. Can use an Italian Moka pot, French press, Turkish cezve, etc. We used Chemex.

To brew the coffee with Chemex method: 20 fl oz water (to get 12 to 14 fl oz of coffee), 1.5 to 2 oz coffee beans (depending on strength preferences), a coffee filter. First heat up your water in a pot or electric kettle and place the paper filter on the Chemex while you are heating up your water. Once your water is hot you can rinse the filter with a little bit (3 oz approximately) of the hot water. This step is said to remove a “papery” taste but can be skipped. Now put the ground coffee in the filter and add enough water in concentric circles to cover the coffee (3 to 4 oz approx. of water) and leave it for a couple of minutes. This process is called Blooming. After the couple of minutes have passed, you can keep pouring your hot water on the coffee slowly and still in concentric circles. Wait for all the water to drain and discard the filter with the used ground coffee. Now you have perfectly brewed coffee.

Now put all your ingredients in a blender with 12 fl oz of your brewed coffee and blend until smooth. If the ghee is not dissolving is because the coffee isn’t hot enough. If that is the case, transfer the whole content of the blender in a sauce pot and heat up for few minutes (max 4 to 5 minutes) being careful not to boil, and blend again.

Serve warm and drink within reasonable time. If left aside for too long the liquid fats may split from the water content and there is no way to know how long that will take since there are many factors in play.
