From a small woman born in Chachoengsao province in Thailand, Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe, who ingrained her deep connection with the culinary world since childhood.
THE EARLY DAYS
Her passion for Thai cooking was inspired by her mother, an established cook and well-known for her delicious homemade curries, who taught her the culinary art along with her secret recipes at an early age, enabling her to uniquely combine Thai and local ingredients in the countries where the Blue Elephant restaurants are located. She is also known for her ready-mixed recipes of Thai sauces, curry pastes, and powders, which are presently produced and exported to over 30 countries. Chef Nooror continues to create new Thai dishes using the Royal Project products and ingredients and travels worldwide with the pride of showcasing Thailand in her capacity as not only one of the country's foremost Thai women chefs but also an ambassador who plays a significant role in promoting Thai cuisine and culture globally. With rich knowledge of food and cooking techniques, a tremendous passion as well as a determined mind for achieving greatness, has successfully proven to the world the significance and reputation of Thai cuisine.COMMITTED AMBASSADOR
In promoting Thai Kitchen to the World for almost 40 years, Chef Nooror was awarded an honorary Master of Arts degree from Kasetsart University. She continuously aims to provide the pinnacle of Thai cuisine exclusively from fresh and local ingredients. Today she is recognized as one of the Thailand Top 5’s Chefs.
BLUE ELEPHANT COOKING SCHOOL & RESTAURANT
The Blue Elephant Group has played a significant role in promoting Royal Thai Cuisine internationally for over 36 years through its famous Restaurants.
As a Master Chef and Founder of Blue Elephant Group, she is recognized as a leading Ambassador of Thai Cuisine since the first Blue Elephant restaurant (Brussels 1980) to nowadays. As a pioneer in Europe, the Group quickly launched a trade office in Bangkok in order to supply its restaurants with the best Thai fresh ingredients.
